Epsom Racecourse

This project involved the construction of a new Grandstand at Epsom downs racecourse under Wilmott Dixon.

​

GPS Ltd were tasked with the installation of precast stadia units, prestressed floor and honed marble cladding panels. This project was subject to a particularly tight schedule as the grandstand had to be commenced and completed in four months to allow opening for the Epsom Derby.

GPS Ltd managed to complete the grandstand as well as the architectural marble cladding within the time frame. This was achieved through increased working hours and shift rotation so as to maximise efficiency without an effect on quality or safety. All architectural cladding was fitted by a designated team with over 50 years of experience in Precast between the members to ensure this most sensitive part of construction was carried out to the highest standard with no damage.

The result was a magnificent grandstand completed on time and on budget of which GPS are proud to have been involved in.
